We had a lot of problems, like almost all five problems that you advertise on your website.
The first problem that we tackled was to reduce the time between receiving an order and sending it to their customers. It was time-consuming for warehouse pickers to find the items and pack the boxes safely and securely. The system basically guides the picker, not only in terms of what products to take, but what boxes to take, and standardizes that across the board.
Part of this problem was that the shipping companies wanted to know the volume and weight of the orders before they would schedule a pickup – for their own packing and logistics planning. That was taking a day or two - definitely too long.
Pack a Shipment tool
Venus Remedies run all new orders through the Pack a Shipment tool. It calculates the volumetric weight, the number of boxes and the weight of every box. That information is shared with the shipping companies to schedule the shipment even before that order has hit the warehouse.
They also take the output to calculate the cost of shipping based on the contract with their shipping provider. The customer’s order is updated with the correct shipping price. Once the order is made, the warehouse has a copy of the order, which box to use, and how to pack it ready for pick up.
That allows us to operate shipping efficiencies to the point where the shipment is already scheduled and also because we made the accuracy level to a point where we calibrated everything.

Venus Remedies are saving money, time and frustration between sales, the warehouse, and shipping.
The size of the boxes are optimized as are the way they are packed, reducing resources use and saving even more.
During the pandemic, this was extremely important to us because the cost of the pandemic was sky high.
